Truss Modificatoin

As part of a renovation project intended to increase property value prior to resale, our client required improved access to the loft space. Existing lower and upper truss ties restricted headroom and prevented safe access.

A structural design solution was developed to remove the lower tie entirely and raise the upper tie to provide sufficient clearance for safe entry and use of the loft space. After a site visit for inspection and for taking measurements, detailed design calculations and 3D structural drawings were provided to demonstrate the proposed configuration and ensure continued roof stability. The modification enhanced functionality while maintaining structural integrity and compliance.
